POST PREREQUISITE:
-CSWIP certification (Level 3.1).
-Strong understanding of welding processes, metallurgy, and inspection techniques.
-Proficiency in NDT methods.
-Ability to interpret welding symbols, drawings, and specifications.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
-Knowledge of relevant industry standards and codes (e.g., ASME, API1104).
DESCRIPTION OF THE POST MISSIONS:
-Inspection: Conduct visual and non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections of welds, including but not limited to, magnetic particle testing (MPT), dye penetrant testing (DPT), ultrasonic testing (UT), and radiographic testing (RT).
-Quality Control: Ensure compliance with welding procedures, specifications, and codes (e.g., API1104, ASME).
-Documentation: Maintain detailed inspection record, including defect reports, non-conformance reports, and corrective action plans.
- Training and Supervision: Provide training and guidance to welding personnel on quality control procedures and safety standards.
-Problem-Solving: Identify and troubleshoot welding defects, recommending corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
-Certification: Maintain CSWIP certification through ongoing professional development and re-certification.
